Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Swoop and this website handle. SpottON Games is a brand of SpottON LLC, an Arizona limited liability company ("we", "us"). If you have questions, email support@spottongames.com.
The short version: Swoop has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your settings stay on your device. When you play online, our game server sees the display name you choose and your connection's IP address, only to run the game.
Information stored on your device
Swoop saves your settings on your own device: your card design, how your hand is sorted, and the display name you last used for online play. This information is not sent to us. Deleting the app (or clearing site data in your browser) removes it.
Online play
When you create or join an online room, Swoop connects to our game server and sends:
- Your display name. You choose it, and it does not need to be your real name. It is shown to the other players in your room.
- Your game moves, so the server can run the game and keep everyone in sync.
Rooms and their game data are kept in memory and are deleted when the room closes. Our server keeps short operational logs (for example, that a room opened and the display name of the player who opened it) to keep the service running and to investigate problems. Like any internet service, our server and our hosting provider receive your device's IP address when you connect; we do not use it to identify you or build a profile.
What we don't do
- We don't require an account, email address or phone number to play.
- We don't show ads or include advertising or analytics software.
- We don't sell or share your personal information.
- We don't collect your location, contacts, photos or other data from your device.
Purchases
If Swoop offers optional purchases such as card packs, payment is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their privacy policies. We receive confirmation of what was purchased, not your payment details.
Service providers
Our website and online play run on infrastructure from Cloudflare, Inc., which processes connection data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the service.
Children
Swoop is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can play offline against bots without sending anything to us. You can change your display name at any time. To ask about or delete information related to you, email support@spottongames.com.
Changes to this policy
If we add features that change how information is handled, such as advertising, we will update this policy and its effective date before those features go live.
